Make more money from Adsense.

Hopefully you already know that Adsense is Google advertising that you place on your site. These Ads are served according to the topic of your web page. The topic is mostly determined from the text used in the title tag of your page.

So if you insert an Adsense Ad unit on your page, the Ads should be relevant to the title or if there are no relevant Ads, they will be related to your overall site theme.

This gives you one clue: use high paying keywords in your topics. But the secret I am going to reveal here is against the usual tips that you will receive.

As a smaller site, you will have less relevant Ads and lower paying Ads delivered to your site. The most relevant and highest paying Ads will be delivered first. So if you have several Ad units on your page then the highest paying Ads will be near the top of the page.

But the “Hot Spots” for Ads are in the middle of the content. So the Secret is to only have one Ad unit and position that in the article text. Then you will have 2-4 relevant and high paying Ads in the Hot Spot of your page.
