The uVme Affiliate page is currently slow to load. I have one of the fastest internet connections on Earth (10Mb per second optical Fibre) and my affiliate page takes around 30 seconds to load. But there is a solution…

This speed may be even slower if I cleared my browser cache which may be storing images from the site after I first browsed it.

The answer is to build your own lead capture page. This is a simple fast loading web page that allows interested visitors to register their email and name for further details. Then you can tell them via email that we are in pre-launch and have teething troubles. And you will let them know when the site is up to full speed and at their own risk they can check out your pre-launch affiliate site.

Cool idea huh?

For marketing techniques such as Traffic Exchanges, your page must load in less than 3 seconds since that is 10% of the time that your page is viewable by a surfer of a traffic exchange where the timer is set to 30 seconds per page view. People will be angry if your page takes 30 seconds or more to load.

For a uVme lead capture page, I suggest copying graphics from the downloadable screen savers and eBooks from your affiliate membership site. Then make a small size (in bytes version) of a page that fits inside a 800×600 pixel browser window. Then you add your lead capture code to this page or if you are lazy, simply make the page a clickable image link to your affiliate site. This is what I did since I am a bit lazy.

However, the best idea is to do a lead capture page that incorporates code for an email signup form. Now I think about the logic behind this I feel like a bit of an idiot for not doing it myself. I do it via this blog but not via a dedicated lead capture page.

The lead capture solution used by a majority of internet Marketers is AWeber. It is so easy to set up fully can-spam compliant email lists with Aweber.

If you are interested in further tips and downloads of stuff such as lead capture pages, I strongly suggest that you Register for Free for the news in my own Aweber email list form in the sidebar.
